Our winter/spring schedule offers many of your favorite classes and some exciting new ones. On the registration page, you can fill in and print a form to mail in with your check to ensure your spot in the class or classes of your choice. When you sign up for a 6 week session you can take one additional class free. It's a great opportunity to try a different class. I’m thrilled to announce that The Art Room was voted to have the best children’s art classes in the East Bay by Diablo magazine and you! We are honored to have been chosen by you to provide art classes to your children. And we are so grateful that the readers of Diablo magazine have declared that the Best of the East Bay art classes can be found... right here at The Art Room! I’d like to thank some of the people who have made this award possible. I give a big thank you to all my wonderful teachers. You’ve got it all – the creativity and skills to teach great art, and the caring style to do it in a warm and nurturing way. I also thank all the parents who bring their kids to The Art Room. We truly appreciate your business, and your commitment to expose your children to the arts. And most of all I want to thank our students. We couldn’t do it without you! Your creativity never ceases to amaze us. You make us laugh and fill us with joy. The Art Room is a labor of love that we continue because of you. Emphasis is on small classes (6-10) with strong individual attention. Whether students work from one of our fabulous projects or from a still life that we’ve set up, the results are amazing. With the guidance provided by skilled art instructors, students gain self-confidence as they explore and develop their artistic ability. At The Art Room every student SHINES! In addition to the wide choice of classes we offer, you can also "Create-a-Class". We will work with you to create a class for your children, or a group of adults. Days and times are flexible. These classes have been especially popular with pre-schoolers and home-schoolers. We provide a positive and nurturing learning experience that encourages our students to use their imagination. At the same time students begin to acquire an art vocabulary, are introduced to well known artists and learn the necessary skills to create great art.
The Art Room can provide after school programs at your school site. Our teachers travel to many Bay Area schools to teach in our extensive programs, and we’d love to add your school to our growing list! We also do birthday parties! Contact us for more information about these offerings, which are always customized to your unique requirements.
