The Art Room is a studio offering art instruction to children and adults in downtown Lafayette, California. Students experience and enjoy the creative process while learning the skills needed to create a work of art with pride. Our goal is to achieve a balance between process and product. 
Emphasis is on small classes (6-8) with strong individual attention. With the guidance provided by skilled art instructors, students gain self-confidence as they explore and develop their artistic ability. At The Art Room every student SHINES! In addition to the wide choice of classes we offer, you can also "Create-a-Class". We will work with you to create a class for your children, or a group of adults. Days and times are flexible. These classes have been especially popular with pre-schoolers and home-schoolers.

We provide a positive and nurturing learning experience that encourages our students to use their imagination. At the same time students begin to acquire an art vocabulary and are introduced to well known artists.

The Art Room can provide after school programs at your school site. We also do birthday parties! Contact us for more information.

Summer's here! You can sign up your kids now for classes in our flexible and fun summer program. During the summer you can sign up for one class or as many as you like. Go to the Summer Program page to view all the classes available this summer.
