Young artists will be introduced to the principles needed to grow their drawing skills. We will create projects that focus on some technical drawing skills such as composition, perspective, and positive/negative space while creating a portfolio of artwork that exhibits their growth as budding artists! This class is a wonderful opportunity for artists to learn the basic drawing skills while having lots of fun.

Learn to draw your favorite cartoon characters, superheroes, and fantasy figures, and create your own designs! Character development is emphasized while you learn tips and techniques for traditional cartooning, anime, and manga. Basic shapes, values, and composition and design are all taught in this fun class! Individual imagination and creativity are always encouraged.

Are you a budding illustrator, comic artist, or animator? Gain the skills to begin drawing your own characters! From sketching, to using simple shapes and learning rotate a character in space, you’ll learn the basic elements of character design in this class.

This class is similar to an open studio for young, aspiring artists. The instructor will work with each student to come up with projects they are interested in doing, such as drawing, painting, photography, and more. It is a very flexible class, so the young artist can really home in on what they want to create!

Students are introduced to basic handbuilding methods of pinch, coil, and slab to create fantastic works of art with clay. Creatures, dishware, and bas relief are some of our fabulous projects. Let your imagination run wild as you explore the properties of clay.

Dive into the ocean and learn to draw your favorite underwater creatures! Explore different types of art materials as you paint and draw a variety of sea animals, crustaceans, and marine plants.

We give you the tools necessary to create great drawings! We’ll copy the masters of pop art, set up traditional still lives and arrangements of toys, explore perspective through landscapes, and create realistic portraits. You’ll learn about composition, values, shapes and line. Learn to see as an artist does and watch your drawing skills improve.

Develop your painting skills as you learn about composition, design, brush strokes, color mixing, application, and other painting techniques. Projects are chosen by the student and teacher and include still lives, landscapes, animals, people, and copying great master artists. Come explore the wonderful world of paints!
